Haul-Out & Hardstanding Infrastructure: Accommodates vessels up to 30 metres in length utilizing a 20-ton capacity travel hoist and two slipways. The extensive, secure block-paved hardstanding provides a clean, stable surface ideal for erecting staging. Out-of-water surveys are strictly coordinated to ensure complete, uninterrupted access to the baseplate, forward and aft swims, stern gear, and underwater appendages.
Surface Preparation & NDT Access: Facilities support high-pressure wash-down, blocking off, and the removal of freshwater weed, silt accumulation, and loose bottom coatings along the wind-and-water line. This ensures optimal surface contact for ultrasonic transducer coupling and silver-silver chloride reference electrode testing for stray current corrosion.
Moorings & Site Facilities: Offers 575 wet berths equipped with 240V shore power and fresh water, including specific pontoons designed to accommodate the varied dimensions of narrowboats and Dutch barges. The site features a dedicated fuel pontoon supplying diesel and petrol, two pump-out stations, four washhouse blocks, and full Wi-Fi coverage. Positioned immediately downstream of Penton Hook Lock, the marina provides straight-forward navigation access to the wider River Thames.
